The weather at Waikiki in Hawaii, is the best in the world. It is warm and dry throughout the year (70~90F). No hurricanes, no heavy rains, no earthquakes. Money can not buy weather. So here is the best place to play tennis and to realize the successful aging.

Aloha to everyone! My computer is on for now so I hope to dash some news off to you ...I hope I can remember what has been going on this summer.
We have had a gorgeous summer with lots of blue skies and fluffy white clouds. The trade winds have kept us cool and perhaps it was the cold (cold for us) winter that started us off and kept us cool all summer. Of course, now that "fall or autumn" is here, you never know..the weather may turn hot! Mother Nature likes to keep all of us on our toes. We did have a few muggy days when we were being passed either to the north or to the south by hurricanes that had been downgraded to tropical storms. Actually, we had so little rain that Molokai had a fire that kept burning for nearly a week and we had fire problems in Waianae and Waiau (west of Honolulu area). We were even issued a fire warning for a few days.
Our Hawaii contingent to the Senior Olympics held in Palo Alto, California did very well. We had a large group there and they were able to cheer each other on and so several players came home with medals. Some of the players who went were Lurline F., Les N., Mike K., Ray and Mako, Curtis M., Jane P., Jerry B. to name a few. I don't know all the names but if any of you know of others who went , let me know.
Lurline did say that it was hot.
We have had some recent visitors: Bruce D. from NZ, Terry from Palm Springs and also Bob from Palm Springs.
To be continued.
