Went to the Kailua Night Doubles the past few nights and watched some high level tennis. Pictured above are the reigning champions Minh Le & Wei Yu Su who won the tournament for the past three consecutive years. There are four matches tonight; the first two matches begin at 6:15p with the second matches at 7:15p. The semi-finals will be held at the same times on Friday with the final championship match on Saturday. The event is at the Kailua Raquet Club on Oneawa Street. As you're entering Kailua from the Pali Highway, turn left on Oneawa and the Kailua Raquet Club will be on your left approximately 5 minutes in. It's a nice environment with bleachers, a swimming pool, about 8 tennis courts, they serve food and drinks and the tennis is simply another level. I saw a rally last evening that looked like a gun fight; the angles, serves, power are fun to watch. This event happens once every year, so if you can I would strongly recommend checking it out! On this Saturday, there is a kid's clinic from 11a-1p. There will be several teaching pros and the number 1 seeds, Minh Le and Wei Yu Su. There will be products you can demo, food, prizes, etc. A good activity after your morning tennis. Enjoy...The weather at Waikiki in Hawaii, is the best in the world. It is warm and dry throughout the year (70~90F). No hurricanes, no heavy rains, no earthquakes. Money can not buy weather. So here is the best place to play tennis and to realize the successful aging.

The Kailua Racquet Club has been known for great tennis on the windward side for decades. Don't forget to stop off at Island Snow for a refreshing shave ice after a hot day in the sun. We do!
