Pat & Tom returned KPTC to play tennis with us from White Rock British Columbia but Pat could't come this morning because she had a knee injury 2 days ago.

Barbara will send this Sympathy card to Ozzie & Sandy, yesterday morning their son-in-law Vegen died.

This morning at the court #3, very fun set : Barbara & Walter vs Ayako & Amy.

Takeshi came back to KPTC again from Tokyo but his wife Kazuko will come this week Thursday.

Machiko & Tai returned to their Waikiki Banyan home from Fairfield CA.

Sherri in a few years back from Pacifica CA and will be staying here until Dec 24, Big Aloha!

Vegen(son-in -law of Ozzie and Sandy) died this morning after a courageous battle with cancer.

シャワー

早朝から快適にプレーをし8時頃ワイキキの空に大きな虹が架かりました。シャワーを感じない中虹が出たのでシャワーがやってくるのかと思っているとダイヤモンド・ヘッド方向が白くなり大きな雨粒がやってきました。プレーヤー一斉にトイレの屋根の下へ避難しました。直ぐ雨が止みコート整備をしてプレーが始まりました。

コートにやってきた Ayako がラケット・グリップにサンタのニットカバーをつけているので Pauline と Monica がそのカバー手作りかと確認して盛り上がりました。 Charlie がベンチに座り素敵な笑顔で3人が迎えました。

Amy and her husband Dr. Bill are another visiting from San Francisco, they will be staying here one week, Big Aloha Amy!

Zenji & Nobuko returned to Aloha state from Chiba.

Eri & Hideo came back to KPTC again from Osaka Aloha!. They will be staying here 10 days.

マラソンの後始末

11日行われたホノルルマラソン3万人近くが走り応援の人そしてボランティアの人達を入れると6万人以上の人がカピオラニ公園周辺に集まったことになります。ゴールゲートやテントなどは、月曜日に撤去されて行きましたが最後に簡易トイレがトラックで何回も運び出され最後の始末がとなりました。

Charlie & Keith Birthday

朝8時からテニスコート中央テーブルエリアで Charlie & Keith Birthday の集まりを行いました。沢山のプレーヤー達が集まり Birthday ケーキをカットして二人の誕生日を賑やかにお祝いしました。

Takayama came back again this year from Tokyo. he will be staying here for one week, Aloha!

Yutaka-san returned to his home tennis court from Japan today.

Keith Birthday

Dec 12 Keith Birthday です。 Keith 時々早朝にテニスコートにやってきてコートの状態を確認しています。ネット,ベンチ,屋根,防風ネット等々に不具合があると補修用の材料など準備し早朝に補修を行っています。ライトなどに不具合があると公園管理部門に連絡し補修を手配しています。気持ち良いテニスコートを Keith が維持してくれています。

急な雨!!

気持ちよくプレーをしていたところ急に涼しい風が吹き始めダイヤモンド・ヘッド方向が白くなりました。シャワーが来るだろうと思う間もなく雨粒が見えるくらいの雨がやってきました。プレーヤー皆屋根のある場所に避難しチョッピリ様子見をするとハワイカイ方向に青い空が見えたので直ぐ雨も上がるだろうと話しているうちに雨が行き過ぎました。

Banyan Tree

テニスが終わりウォーキングロードをゆっくり歩きクイーンカピオラニ像を過ぎ芝生広場をバス停方向に進むとこの大きな Banyan Tree が目に入ってきます。横方向に大きく枝を張り周辺に気持ち良い木陰を作っています。昼時だとこの木陰でのんびり足を延ばしている人達もいます。
