アフリカン・ダンス

テニスコートの東側に打楽器を抱えた集団が現れ木陰に楽器を並べリズミカルな音楽が流れてきました。音楽に合わせ集まった女性達が素敵なステップを踏んで踊り始めました。リズムを聞いているとアフリカン・ダンスで激しいステップを繰り返し行っています。皆さん楽しくエンジョイして打楽器と踊りを続けていました。

ビーチバレー・ボール大会

カピオラニ公園入り口に当たるクヒオビーチでビーチバレー・ボールの大会が行われています。朝7時前大会開催に向けて準備が行われ4面コートが造られました。チャンピオンシップと銘打たれ国際色豊かにヨーロッパ,南米,北米から選手が集まっています。日本チョット見かけませんね。

Queen Kapiolani Garden

カピオラニ公園バス停から真っすぐ Monsarrat  Ave  北に進むみ Paki  Ave  と交わった左側に Queen Kapiolani Garden があります。沢山の花や花木が植栽され一年中沢山の花が咲いています。 Garden の中にベンチも配置されているのでのんびり花々を鑑賞しベンチでいい風を感じるのもいいものです。

オレンジ色ハイビスカス

テニスの帰りシェルスタジアム方向にクールダウンがてらゆったり歩いてゆくと動物園フェンス沿いにオレンジ色のハイビスカスが沢山咲いていました。赤,黄色,ピンクのハイビスカスよく見ますがこんなオレンジ色なかなか見ません。ハイビスカス1日花なので沢山つぼみがあるので毎日楽しめます。
