Kyoko & Hiroya Matushita
東京世田谷からカピオラニコートに登場 カピオラニコートメンバーのサポートでゲームに参加しました。Kyokoは、ビギナーですが東京でテニススクールに入っているので基本に忠実にボールを返しポイントを取っていました。Hiroyaは、コートを広くカバーし鋭いボールが返っていました。Xmasフライトで東京に帰ります。カピオラニに戻ってきてください。

ネットの補修
No1コート ネットのセンターベルトが切れそうになっていたので Keith が交換作業を始めると BOB が手伝ってネットの高さが合うようにベルトの調整,ベルトトップが磨耗しやすいので補強テープをガードしました。ベルトのコート取り付け部が外れたり持って行かれないように補強テープを巻いて簡単に取り外せないようにしました。コート補修も色々なアイデアを Keith が駆使して毎日気持ちよくプレー出来る環境づくりをしています!!

Abraham came from Fremont CA.
Since 1999 he has visited Hawaii every year with his wife. He plays tennis at the Kapiolani Park tennis courts during the Christmas season. They will go back to CA. next week, December 29th.

Ｍｏｅ に写真を撮ろうと言うと一人じゃいやだと言うので Ｈｉｒｏｍｉさんとツーショットでと言うとニコニコ顔で Ｈｉｒｏｍｉさんにグッと接近してポーズを取りました。元気に毎日コートに出かけてきてコートサイドのベンチで皆と話をしながらテニスゲームを見て声を掛けてくれます。腰を痛めているのでプレーが時々しか出来ませんが毎日コートに来るので皆で元気な Ｍｏｅ に声をかけましょう。

Charles Young Style
カピオラニテニスコート・プレーヤー最高齢(91歳)のCharles は、ダンディでウェアーがいつも素敵です。この写真のように若者顔負けのかっこいいウェアーを着込んで登場しました。入念な素振りとストレッチをして短い距離でのウォーミングアップしゲームに入ります。守備範囲に来たボールは、鋭いボールが帰ってきます。気持ちもウェアーも若々しくて良いですね。

ALOHA!!!! Can you believe I am about to leave WARM Waikiki to spend the holidays with my daughters in WV and DC???? Look at what awaits me if and when I get there...haha Right now, each of my daughters are reporting 18-20 inches of snow at their homes (WV, DC) and its still snowing. My flight from HNL connects in Chicago tomorrow morning and the weather in Chicago isn't all that bad...about an inch of snow/slush. So if I am lucky, Dulles will reopen by Sunday morning and I will be able to arrive there as scheduled. Then one of my daughters, HOPEFULLY, will be able to pick me up at the airport. I'M DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS!!!!. I hope to be back in January and playing tennis again. Have a great Christmas...much aloha

芝生から蒸気が上がっています
朝随分涼しいため太陽が出てくるとその気温差で芝生から水分が蒸発してゆく状況が霧状に芝生を覆っています。この景色は、気温差がある時の朝6時40分頃から7時30分頃までしか見えません。幻想的な霧に覆われた公園の景色を早起きしたことで眺めることが出来何か得した気分になりました。

早起きプレーヤー
朝6時20分コートに着くと Charles,Tom,Pauline が来ていました。すっかり体は、テニスモードになっており何時でもゲームが出来ますよと言う雰囲気なので早速ウォーミングアップしゲーム開始。Charles,Tom 対 Pauline,Ｙｕｔａｋａ でプレーし6-2で Pauline,Ｙｕｔａｋａ ペアが勝利しました。1セット終わった頃には、朝日が出てカピオラニ公園全体明るくなっています。
