Be not Defeated by the Rain
Be not defeated by the rain, Nor let the wind prove your better.
Succumb not to the snows of winter. Nor be bested by the heat of summer.
Be strong in body. Unfettered by desire. Not enticed to anger. Cultivate a quiet joy.
Count yourself last in everything. Put others before you.
Watch well and listen closely. Hold the learned lessons dear.
A thatch-roof house, in a meadow, nestled in a pine grove's shade.
A handful of rice, some miso, and a few vegetables to suffice for the day.
If, to the East, a child lies sick: Go forth and nurse him to health.
If, to the West, an old lady stands exhausted: Go forth, and relieve her of burden.
If, to the South, a man lies dying: Go forth with words of courage to dispel his fear.
If, to the North, an argument or fight ensues:
Go forth and beg them stop such a waste of effort and of spirit.
In times of drought, shed tears of sympathy.
In summers cold, walk in concern and empathy.
Stand aloof of the unknowing masses:
Better dismissed as useless than flattered as a "Great Man".
This is my goal, the person I strive to become.

Yutaka San!
Yutaka-san is an excellent tennis player and epitomizes the term consistency. He has all the shots, topspin, flat, drops, lobs, sharp angles and he runs the Honolulu Marathon every year. This past year, he finished the 26 mile run in just over 4 hours. I think it broke down to 10 minutes a mile! I'm getting tired just thinking about it. Yutaka plays tennis every morning when is in Hawaii from Japan. Be sure to get a game in with him! I Am Legend
Mo is a legend at Kapiolani Tennis Courts and has been playing here since the 1970's. He actually had a car with the license plate that read "SKEBE" which means dirty person in Japanese! Mo's double's partner was Tom Rennic; the other "legend" of Kapiolani courts. Together, they formed the doubles team known as "Team Skebe."

三日月が照らすテニスコート
朝6時20分頃のテニスコートです。朝日が出てこようとする中空の色がオレンジ,パパイヤ,マンゴー色に変化し群青色の空がジュンジュン明るい青に変化して行く中輝いていた三日月が少しづつ見えなくなり夜の時間から昼の時間へ変化してゆく時間の流れを感じながらダブルスゲームを毎日しています。なんて贅沢な景色と時間を過ごしているのかと無心でテニスボールを打つとポイントが取れています。邪心があるとテニスボールは、コートの外に出てしまいますね。

Nori and Masako
Nori and Masako are from Japan but are Kama'aina. They visit Hawaii several times a year and play tennis everyday. Excellent tennis player's and great people.Up Close & Personal with the Korean Hammer
A picture of Steve and Rika. Rika injured her back and is taking some time off. If you play tennis, you know it's hard to stay away...even when you're injured. Rika came down to watch everyone play, hang out and enjoy another fun and beautiful day at the Kapiolani tennis courts.
Ready, Set.....ACTION!
Please enjoy these pictures of Sachie and Masako playing against Doi and Russ. A men versus women match. Watching was fun. It was 1-0, then 2-0, 3-0, 4-0, 5-0 and then **BANG** game over. The ladies bagled the men 6-0. Congratulations Sachie and Masako on a nice win. The men owe you lunch. As you can see by the pictures, Russ had his "game" face on!
毎日コートに来る小鳥達
6時過ぎテニスコートに毎日小鳥達が訪問します。必ず小鳥は、二羽で来てダブルスを楽しもうとしています。小鳥は、毎日プレーを見ているので随分上達してこの二羽は、ダブルスの位置関係を確認するようにコートの隅々を確認していました。その内に小鳥達を相手に1セット楽しんでみたいと思い声を掛けたのですが無視されて飛び立たれてしまいました。

祝 玲子さん
おめでとうございます。
これで玲子さんも投稿者になりました。次回は写真をトライしてみてください。書いた後でも書き換え、削除等いつでもできますので、間違えても問題ないのでＴｒｙＴｒｙしてください。だめなら消せばいいだけです。
若さを保つ秘訣の１つはＴｒｙＴｒｙすることです。あの89歳のトムも孫にコンピューターを教えてもらっているので、メールも写真の取り込みもブログもできます。これで若い人とコンタクトしているので健康にボケもしないで前向きに元気に生活しております。さらに、お菓子づくり、料理、買い物にもトムはＴｒｙして今はプロなみです。理想的な老後です。脱帽します。
また、私が会社勤めをするようになったらこのブログには時間を割くことができなくなります。そうしたら皆で書いていかないと閉鎖するしかないです。このブログのポリシーは「皆で作っていく。」ですのでお忘れなく。
