Hawaiian Monk Seal Born about 100 Yards Away from the Tennis Courts

Did you see the rare Hawaiian monk seal and her pup that was born a week ago just east of the Natatorium? It's a rare and endangered species and many are surprised that mom decided that Waikiki Beach is a good place to give birth.


Note: Tennis players, we do not recommend giving birth near the Natatorium. Too many tourists will want to take your picture.  ;)
