マラサダ

テニスコートにマラサダがやってきました。カピオラニ・コート・プレーヤーがプレーヤー達のイベントがあると Leonards Bakery (Kapahulu Avenue)迄行ってホカホカ マラサダを買って来てくれます。いい汗を流しベンチで待つ時間にムシャムシャとマラサダを頬張るすごくおいしくいただきます。

落書き

No2コートに朝6時40分頃入るとコートにチョークで子供が遊んだ描かれていました。子供が絵を描いて遊ぶのは、普通のことですが描いて遊んでいい場所とそうでない場所が在るのを子供に教える必要があります。コート内に絵が描かれてなかったですがコート直ぐ横なのでプレーの妨げになります。水を撒きブラシで擦って落書を消しました。

Yutaka やって来ました!!

16日到着しました。今回2月21日迄滞在します。いつものように6時30分頃テニスコートに現われ10時前頃までプレーを楽しみたいと思いますので皆さん相手をお願いいたします。15年カレンダーを作成してきましたのでお会いする皆さんへお渡ししますのでいい笑顔の写真を取らして下さい。カレンダーも15年続き今回275名と沢山なので目を凝らして確認下さい。

German couple Monica & Willi : They are visiting paradise Island escape from cold weather land northwest Germany to enjoy play tennis. They will visit Las Vegas next week Saturday.

Good news : Miki's family purchased a Marco Polo condo; she just came from San Diego but her husband will come Jan.

Calendar man, Yutaka-san, came back and he is now distributing his 2015 KPTC calendar to the players.

クヒオ・ビーチを見て

ワイキキからカピオラニ公園に向かう道すがらビーチ側に眼をやると水平線が目に入ります。道路を挟んで歩道,植栽された樹木,その向こうに海が広がり素敵な景色が広がっています。歩きながら四方に視線を投げかけプルメリア,ハイビスカス,ブーゲンビリア,シャワーツリー等々の花々を目にて気持ち良い気持ちを充満させテニスコートに進んで行きます。

Do You Do Yoga?

Dave and Jean do. Here, they're demonstrating the "tree" yoga exercise. As a result, Dave is able to do that sit and rise exercise I posted not long ago. Recently, they returned to their home in Novato, California. See you both again soon!

No20 BUS

カピオラニ公園周回道路をNo20バスがやって来ました。ワイキキ・クヒオ通りからカピオラニ公園テニスコート水族館前バス停に停まるバスは、No19とNo20です。13年7月にルート変更があり以前のNo2バスは、KCC行きになりカピオラニ公園へ入ってこなくなりました。テニスが終わり水族館前でNo19,No20に乗ると公園を一周しクヒオ通りに戻って行きます。

Honolulu Marathon

12月第二日曜日恒例の Honolulu Marathon です。5時アラモアナ・Queen St. をスタートしアロハタワーを廻りカラカウアSt. ワイキキを通り過ぎカハラからココヘッド迄行き折り返しダイヤモンド・ヘッドRd を上りカピオラニ公園クイーンカピオラニ像のゴールを目指して走って来ます。スタートから5時間40分ゴールに向かうランナー達です。まだまだ7時間を越えて走るランナーがまだまだ多いのが Honolulu Marathon の特徴です。

今日は日曜日グループのテ二ス仲間との忘年会
女房も参加してくれて大助かり！
アルコールは全く飲めないので、運転手付き?

A few days ago, I ran into Steve at Ala Moana Beach Park. He was running and preparing for Sunday's Marathon as you can see in the photo. Other tennis players will be running in the Marathon as well. To my knowledge, Tokio and Toko will be participating. Boston Charlie is also thinking about running as well. ;)


幸運のマラソンランナー！数日前、私はアラモアナビーチパークでスティーブに走った。彼が実行しているとあなたが写真で見ることができるように日曜日のマラソンのために準備していた。他のテニスプレーヤーは、同様にマラソンで実行されています。私の知る限りでは、東京と東光が参加します。ボストンチャーリーはまた、同様に動作して考えている。 ;）

マラソン準備進行中

14日のマラソンに向けカピオラニ公園クイーンカピオラニ像前ゴール地点にゴールゲートや放送ブース等々機材が組み立てられています。マラソン参加ランナー達が三々五々集まり明日のゴール地点で写真を撮ったり周辺の確認等々賑やかに行っています。沢山沢山のランナーで1日中賑わっています。

Can you do this sit and rise exercise? It's harder than it looks. Most won't be able to do this.

While in the standing position, cross your legs and proceed to sit down. And from the sitting position, rise up into the standing position. Try not to use your hands to sit or rise. I have trouble doing it myself...usually, I need a hand on the ground. Meg did it hands-free. Here's the link on the article:

マラソンを目指し

カピオラニ公園ウォーキングロードをヒタヒタと沢山のランナーがジョギングしています。明日14日ホノルル・マラソン参加者と思われるランナーがワイキキ周辺,カピオラニ公園芝生広場を含め自分の体の調子を確かめるよう体を動かしています。3万人近くのランナーが集まって来るホノルル最大のイベントです。

Blue Bird

カピオラニ公園朝7時過ぎ甲高いキーキーと鳴き声で10羽位の群れになりアメリカ杉周辺を飛びまわる Blue Bird が毎日現われます。しばらく飛びまわった後静かになったので見回すと電信柱に停まっていたのでシャッターを切りました。 Blue Bird 青色のインコ(Parakeet)です。オアフ島に持ち込んだ人達が離したインコが天敵がいないので自然繁殖し群れを作る位増えて来ているんです。
