6月24日 15時4分通信大手「ソフトバンク」は、東京電力福島第一原子力発電所の事故で電力の供給量が低下するなか、太陽光など自然エネルギーによる発電事業に参入することを目指し、24日の株主総会で会社の定款を変更しました。
東京・丸の内で開かれた「ソフトバンク」の株主総会には、およそ1800人の株主が出席しました。この中で会社側は、東京電力福島第一原発の事故で電力の供給量が低下するなか、新たなエネルギー事業にみずから乗り出したいとして、太陽光や風力など自然エネルギーによる発電事業を会社の事業目的に追加する定款の変更を提案しました。これに対し、株主からは「ぜひ取り組んでほしい」という意見や、「新たな事業で借金が増えるのではないか」という意見が出されました。採決の結果、株主の3分の2を超える賛成多数で承認されました。ソフトバンクは来月、34の自治体と共同で「自然エネルギー協議会」を開催し、今後、自治体と共に、太陽光パネルを設置するなど具体的な取り組みを進めたいとしています。
