Tennis: Nadal, Berdych(Tom) to meet for title
All Wednesday afternoon, Tomas Berdych had stripped Federer’s cloak of invincibility at Wimbledon. Berdych hit harder, served better and played with the sort of daring that marked Federer’s ascendance. Berdych made Federer look vulnerable, mortal, human even, in a 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4 triumph. Afterward, Federer looked all the more imperfect, blaming his loss on the injuries and offering little credit to Berdych.
