While Japan was sleeping and the mainland was watching the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament on TV, the championship of Kapiolani Park was being decided.
David and Harry represented the old Kapiolani guard and Kiwa and Natsumi represented the top junior Japanese players. The scores were 6-4, 4-6 and 6-2 in favor of Kiwa and Natsumi.
The sets were hard fought but great fun. Everyone playing and watching were laughing and cheering for all of the great plays by both teams.
We spent a couple of wonderfully entertaining hours watching some of thee best tennis Kapiolani Park has ever had. Thanks to all who played and watched.
