強い風が吹いています。朝テニスコートへ来る道すがら風が強いなと思いながらコートに来ました。コート上で風邪を強く感じないですが東側のヤシの木を見るとダイヤモンド・ヘッド方向から海に向かって大きく枝がなびいています。こんな日は、ショットをダイヤモンド・ヘッド方向に打つようにしています。

Famed Retired Restauranteurs, John and Angelo!

Look! It's retired restauranteurs, John and Angelo, displaying their culinary skills. They owned/ran the John Henry Restaurant in Palm Springs until only about a couple of years ago. Periodically, you'll see John at Kapiolani Park crushing the tennis ball with us like he did this past weekend.

ゲーム開始前のウォーミングアップを Alan & Sandy が始めました。 Alan がネット近くで Sandy のボールをボレーしようとしていますが Alan 肩が痛くスイートスポットにうまく当たりません。ボールを捉えたつもりがあらぬ方向に飛びネットをしたり Sandy にうまく返せません。数分後ゲーム開始となりましたが Alan の状態改善されませんでした。

カピオラニ公園バンドスタンド前の池を背景に少女の像が建っています。この少女にハイビスカスを持たせ踊りだしそうな雰囲気が醸されています。バンドスタンド周辺がこの少女の像で明るい空気を振りまいています。

虹が薄っすらと

全体に曇り空の中に微かなシャワーを感じワイキキ方向の空を見ると虹が薄っすらと現れていました。空全体が曇っているのでいつもの鮮やかな虹になりませんがこんな空にも虹が姿を見せてくれました。

カピオラニ公園全体にスプリンクラーが埋め込まれています。週に2回エリア毎にスプリンクラーから放水が行われています。バンドスタンド北側エリアで放水が始まりました。見ているとシャワーがダンスのように回転しながら放水しています。こうしたことで公園全体が緑に保たれています。

Bob & Janet returned to Aloha state from LA. they will be staying here until coming Sunday.

テニスが終わりカピオラニ公園のウォーキングロードをゆっくり歩きながらビーチ方向に視線を向けると沢山の人達が集まり動いていました。何をしているのかしばらく見ていると海の方向を向かいヨガを行っていました。素敵な景色を眺めながらヨガを行うと体の色々な部分が伸び伸びするでしょうね。

最初のゲームで相手のサーブをブレークし2ゲーム目ファーストポイントを取ってサーブに入る Michiko とリターンに備える Fumiko が構えています。ブレークした後のサービスゲームここを取るとその後の展開が有利になるので確実にポイントを取ろうと狙っています。

16年最初の KPTC Pot Luck がテニスコート東側ピクニックエリアで開催されました。参加者がそれぞれ食べ物,飲み物,果物等等1品持参し賑やかに親睦を計りながら楽しい時間を共有しました。

ビーチでゆったり!!

カピオラニ公園に向かうクヒオ・ビーチでハンモックに体を預けゆったりしている人がいました。目の前に広がる太平洋を眺めながらワイキキでハンモックをヤシの木にセットしぼんやり超優雅な時間ですね。
