Joe, Day 3 Kauai Trip

Joe went to Kauai on 3rd day. His sisters were also there from mine land.

Health

1. Drink plenty of water.

2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.

3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.

4. Live with the 3 E's : Energy, Enthusiasm, and Empathy.

5. Make time daily to read, meditate, and pray.

6. Play more games.

7. Read more and watch less TV/computer than you did last year.

8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day.

9. Sleep for 7 hours.

10. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile.

Personality

11. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

12. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.

13. Don't over do. Keep your limits.

14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip share good news instead.

16. Dream more while you are awake.

17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner, friends, children, or parents with the mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.

19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Hate only what takes away from making you the best you can be.

20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.

21. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.

22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.

23. Smile, laugh, and love more.

King Kamehameha Parade, surf, volleyball, etc

It's time to celebrate the man who united the Hawaiian Islands, the legendary King Kamehameha I (also known as Kamehameha the Great). The 93rd annual King Kamehameha Celebration started yesterday and continues through today. This year's theme is "E Ho'omau I Ka Ha," which means "To Preserve the Breath."

Events honoring the first Hawaiian monarch are celebrated throughout the Islands. On O'ahu we celebrate with a floral parade, lei- making, hula and plenty of food and music for the entire family to enjoy. Get in touch with your inner Polynesian and bond with the family over food and entertainment.

Today the celebration begins with the 93rd annual King Kamehameha Floral Parade at 9:30 a.m. You can expect bountiful colors, flowers galore, marching bands, elaborate costumes and pa'u riders. The parade begins at Ali'iolani Hale (look for the lei-draped King Kamehameha statue) and ends at Kapi'olani Park in Waikiki.

Just because the parade is ending doesn't mean the festivities stop right away. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Kapi'olani Park hosts Na Hana No'eau o Ka Pakipika — Artistic Endeavors of the Pacific, where you can enjoy Polynesian food, art and culture . In addition to all the vendors and cultural demonstrations, there will be a presentation of parade awards.
