Potluck Feb,20
テニスコート東側のピクニックエリアで11:00からテニス好きのメンバー50人近くが手に手に食べ物,飲み物,デザート等々携えて集まりました。今回は、 Ruth が事前準備をしBBQコーナーでビーフ,チキン,ソーセージが沢山焼かれそして日曜日のため休日プレーヤーが沢山集まり皆で食べたり飲んだり喋ったりと楽しい時間が延々と続きました。諸準備してくれた Ruth に感謝!!感謝!! About 50 players got together from 11:00a.m. at the picnic area of Diamond Head side
of the court, bringing food, beverage and dessert. This time Ruth made all pre-arrangement.
BBQ corner served us a lot of beef steak, chicken and sausage. Many Sunday players joined
and spent a very enjoyable time. Mahalo nui, Ruth.

Hey all..here is the 1st batch of pics I took from Puerto Rico...mostly shows my condo, view from my balcony, what the beach looked like early before most folks were up and about, the stores across the street, lobby, tennis court, basketball court, and then the beach around 10 am when it started to get busy. The pina coladas are delicious.. haha I'll send many more during this week. Much aloha. Its mid 80s here today with bright blue skies....

Tsuneo-san 観戦
Reikoさんと一緒にカピオラニ公園に来た Tsuneoさん 公園内を1時間余りウォーキングをしてテニスコートに着きコート内のベンチに座りゲームを観戦。ゲームの動きをじっくり鋭い目で追いかけ少しづつテニスに興味が出てきています。観戦しながらテニスの面白みが分りその内やって見ようかとなれば大歓迎しますよ!!Tsuneo-san came to Kapiolani Park together with Reiko and after walking around
the park he sat down on a bench in the court to watch the game. He looked like
getting interested in tennis as he followed the movement of the ball with his keen
eyes. If he decides to begin playing tennis, he is very welcome.

Potluck の準備 Preparation for Potluck Party
Ozzie & Sandy Potluck がある時は、いつもこのショッピングカーに道具を色々積んで会場まで運んできます。時間前にテーブル周りの準備などきめ細かく心配りをして準備してくれます。集まったメンバー皆 楽しい時間が過ごせるように Ozzie & Sandy いつも長い時間掛けて準備と後始末をしてくれています。 Ozzie & Sandy に感謝!!感謝!!Preparation for Potluck Party
Whenever we have a potluck party, Ozzie and Sandy bring all needed stuff by this shopping
cart. Well before the party they start to arrange it and prepare everything so that
everybody can fully enjoy the party. And after the party they spend a long time to clean up
the place and what has been left. Great thanks for Ozzie and Sandy.

Full swing - as in turning your waist when you swing. The longer you are able to keep contact with the ball when you swing, the more control you have on the ball.
So use your core muscle, not your arm, to give it the full swing. You'll have better control and more power while less chance of injury to you elbow and shoulder.
The bottom line is to have fun, but you already look like you're doing that.

ロブを打つ:Fumiko hits a perfect lobbing ball
Fumiko が深いリターンボールに対応して長いロブを打ちました。リラックスした体勢で膝のバネを利かせたスイングでいい方向にボールが上がりました。打った後ボールを目で追いながらフォロースルーでラケットを大きく動かして長いロブが深く飛んで行きバックライン近くに入りバウンドが高く相手は、ミスショットになりました。Fumiko hits a perfect lobbing ball
Fumiko lobbed back high and deep the ball that came to her side deep.
Her easy swing with her knees' spring force lobbed up the ball long
upward to the aimed direction. After hitting her eyes followed the ball
with a long follow-through swing to result in a deep lobbing ball right
inside the opponents' back line. Her opponent failed to hit back.
