From his wife, Sandy: "We had a wonderful service for Ozzie yesterday (Sunday) morning. We called it the Church of Ozzie because we wanted to do it early in the day and we wanted to do it Sunday so that all of our kids could go back to work/school on Monday. It was absolutely beautiful and very definitely had a Hawaiian theme because Ozzie loved Hawaii so much. Everyone wore leis and there was much aloha spirit.
We had a good crowd (about 275), lots of good stories, lots of diet coke, and ice cream and cookies were catered. It was just perfect for Ozzie. He would have been so happy. We'll miss him so much but he is in a better place right now where he can see again, walk again, talk again, and eat again." |
