The following comments about Tom were made on Facebook:
Joe C. (West Virginia): RIP my special friend from our time in Waikiki at KPTC. We shared many hours on the tennis courts and I admired you for your enthusiasm and energy for the game. Even though you were approaching 90, you played tennis and faced life's trials with GUSTO ...See More
Chizuko (Washington) RIP to Tom....🙏🏼
Al: Am sure Tom is nice guy if he graced Kapiolani Tennis.....I learned this from Boston Charlie yesterday..........May Tom rest in peace
Breeda R. (Maryland): Sad news. I have memories of chatting with Tom on the bench at KPTC-- he was so positive and enthusiastic. Condolences to Tom's family and friends.
Pat C. (Canada): He was a real gentleman and we are honored to have met Tom.
Ted (Canada): Your great dad (Tom) is one the first, of not the first.
David C. (Maryland): I too have fond memories of Tom.
Ted (Canada): Through your great dad that I truly experience the ALOHA spirit at the Kapiolani Tennis Ground. Very grateful to meet such a man!
From Mikiko J. (left-handed Miki): "I am so sorry to know this news. He is a most charming guy at this court. He used be a great tennis player. I still remember nice times to play doubles game with Tom Tom and Moo San. My friend Mr Enzo San passed away long time ago since then so many tennis friends passed away. Maybe when I die, I will join Kapiolani Tennis Club in heaven."
