Ricky 練習開始

膝を痛めていた Ricky リハビリに励み回復したことでセルフリハビリを行うレベルになりました。そろそろテニスを開始しようとウォーミングアップをするプレーヤーの相手になりフォームと打球感を確認しながらボールを打ち始めました。後少しすると Ricky ゲームを開始するでしょう。楽しみに待っています。

Revenge: Hurricane Ana Beats Kapiolani Tennis Players 6-0 6-0

It's been steadily raining since Saturday afternoon. Curt and many of the tennis players were last seen jumping up and down and screaming at the hurricane to go away. Apparently, they're not jumping and screaming well enough. The courts are soaking wet this Sunday morning. :(

芝生広場に高校生位の若者達が沢山集まって来ました。何をするのかと見ていると芝生広場を4面に区切ってサッカー,ラグビー,アメフトができるように準備をしその区切りの中でそれぞれの種目を楽しんでいました。家族や仲間が集まり声援があり楽しい時間を過ごして走り回ってこんな風に出来る公園素敵ですね。

How happy we are! We met at the Bare Foot Beach Cafe and have a joyful get together after tennis.

Rick & Diann couple arrived yesterday from Dallas TX and came to the court

this morning, Gordon also arrived yesterday. but Horacio will leave coming Monday.

Gordon was Ozzie's Edmonds tennis club member.

But 3 years ago his family moved to Palm Springs.

Therefore Gordon came from Palm Springs and staying

Ozzie's Waikiki Banyan condo, he can stay here until

next week Thursday.

We appreciate Mr. Fix-It, Keith Johnson. And, we need local volunteers to help Keith.

A big thank you to Keith Johnson for fixing the nets at Kapiolani,
putting a new hinge on the door where the squeegees are kept
and other maintenance he does on a regular basis.
Keith is our Mr.Fix-It for the Kapiolani Tennis Courts and it would
be nice if at least one other person was able to step in and help
do repairs as needed when Keith is not around or to share the
responsibilities.
Yutaka helps with the courts when he is here but, we need a
local a person also. Please share your aloha.

アドバイス

3ゲームが終わりコートを変わる時水分補給をする Kuto へ Kazu がゲームの動きについてアドバイスしています。10日間の滞在中毎日7時頃コートにやって来て Kazu が Kuto に球出ししてウォーミングアップその後コートにやって来たプレーヤーとゲームをし随分といいラリーができるようになった Kuto この後ゲームで鋭いショットを打っていました。二人とも今は、北海道に帰りました。

Good news from Rick & Diann < See you soon >

Hi Lori and Ben.
Rick and I are leaving for Hawaii tomorrow!!
We hope the hurricane doesn't get in our way.
We are looking forward to seeing all of you up at the courts!
Rick will go to on Friday and Saturday, depending on the weather.
We have friends that are already there, so I might see them on Friday.
if not and no rain, I'll drop by on Friday morning.
We already have shopping plans for Saturday morning,
Be sure to tell Esther hello and see her soon.

California Dreamin' with Kapiolani Tennis Friends

John, Carolyn, Jami, and Jeremy are currently vacationing in Southern California. They visited and played tennis with former Hawaii residents and Kapiolani tennis players, Bob and Bridgette. They also stopped by and had dinner at John and Angelo's restaurant in Palm Springs; they have a beautiful home in Waimanalo. Periodically, John plays tennis at Kapiolani when he's in town. Pictured also is Jami's new boyfriend, Edward. Photos provided by Jami.

訓練

テニスコート周辺いつもより沢山の車が駐車しているので何が行われているのだろうと思っていると重い荷物を背負った兵隊たちがダイヤモンド・ヘッドRD方向から続々とやって来ました。新兵さん達の訓練で30Kgの荷物を背負って10Kmの歩行訓練を行っていました。9月入隊の兵隊達の基礎訓練が公園周辺で定期的に行われています。
