Sunshade/Collection
A big MAHALO to Bill for the sunshade which he personally made, installed and contributed to KTC on Court #4. Very generous of you Bill and very much appreciated.
For those who so generously contributed to our recent collection for Kapiolani Tennis Courts, a big mahalo. We collected a total of $117, which when put together with the funds we had on hand, now gives us a total of $222.71. This will be used to purchase supplies and equipment for the courts, such as rollers, nets, etc., and miscellaneous parts which Keith needs to upkeep the equipment. I don't think most people realize how much time Keith invests on our behalf on our equipment and a lot of time he won't accept payment for parts he purchases. A big MAHALO to Keith for his tireless work on our behalf keeping up with all our equipment repairs.

韓国からの旅行者11名がテニスコートに現れました。非常にスピードのあるプレーでラリーが長く続き1ポイント決まるのに10本以上のラリーが続きました。コートカバーも広く左右前後と激しく動き回りミスの少ないプレーが続きベンチで待っているメンバーから拍手が耐えませんでした。4泊と短い滞在なので2日プレーして帰って行きました。Korea Tennis Players
11 travellers from Korea showed up at KPTC. They continued fast
and as many as 10 rallies to get a point. They ran all over the court
with few unforced errors. All game watchers gave them a big hand.
They stayed here only 4 days and spent 2 days for tennis.

立ち上がる虹
シャワーがあるような気配が感じられ注意しているとワイキキ方面で虹が立ち上がってきました。スクッと立ち上がったような形で雲の中に伸びて行くような虹がハッキリ見えました。この状態がしばらく続き雲が移動した後長い橋のような虹が現れ消えて行きました。時々シャワー虹のプレゼントがあるので楽しみです。Rainbow is showing up.
I felt shower rain was coming and looked the sky to Waikiki direction.
Rainbow showed up standing almost straight upward to the cloud.
Eventually it became just like a long bridge in the sky and faded away.
It is fun to have shower and then watch rainbow.

TV Crew
イベント用の録画を撮るために TV Crew の車が沢山No3コートの外に集まってきました。芝生グランドに子供達がボールゲームをする準備を沢山のスタッフで作り始め準備完了近くに沢山の子供達が集まりました。TV司会者の進行に従って子供達がボールゲームを始め TV Crew が色々な場所からカメラで追っかけ録画していました。色々なことが公園で行われているんですね。TV Crew
You see many TV station vehicles to shoot an event of kids' ball game.
As the preparation finished, a lot of children gathered around the vehicles
and started moving for the game as TV commentator instructed to proceed.
TV crew scattered and began to shoot from many directions.
You see various events taking place in the park.

I am thankful for everyone I met during my stay in Hawaii.
I took Feb.27 flight (two nights in the flight) to be back to
Germany and started to work next day.

Makapuu Point
Makapuu Head
During her stay in Hawaii, we had a treking trip by TheBus. Fine weather, pretty view and
whale watching. Regrettably she is now back in cold Japan. She plans to visit Hawaii in
September.
ヌカルミの処理
No2コート出た所ヌカルミになっており気付かずにヌカルミに踏み入れ靴が泥だらけになり困った人が時々出ています。ショッピングカートなど置いて注意喚起していましたがモミの木枯葉でヌカルミを埋めれば大丈夫かと枯葉を埋めて踏み固めて行くと体重を掛けても沈まなくなりました。これでこのヌカルミに踏み込んで泥だらけにならなくて済みます。Mud problem solved
Many players have had sour experience of getting their shoes muddy by stepping into
the muddy area just outside No.2 court door. I tried to give the warning by putting
a shopping cart on it. Replacing that measure I filled the area with fallen fir tree leaves
and made the area solid by stepping on it. Now your shoes will not get muddy anymore.

マカプウ灯台：Makapuu Head
お天気・見晴らし最高！！クジラも見ることができました。
とても、好いところでした。残念なことに、今は寒い日本へ帰ってきてしまいました。また、９月に行きたいと思っています。Ｔａｋｅ
ヨガをする人達
テニスが終わった帰り道トイレを過ぎた芝生広場でヨガをする人達が集まっていました。右側の女性がトレーナで色々なポーズを説明しながらヨガポーズを表現して行きます。集まったメンバーは、そのポーズを確認しながら体を動かして行きます。カピオラニ公園色々な所で沢山の人達が毎日体を動かしています。いい場所なんですね。People doing Yoga
On my way back to home I saw a group of people doing Yoga on the lawn.
The lady at right is the instructor and shows various Yoga forms with
verbal instructions. Kapiolani park is the place where many people do
all sorts of exercises.
