Now producing !!

The Sapporo Snow Festival, one of Japan's largest winter events, attracts a growing number of visitors from Japan and abroad every year.Every winter, about two million people come to Sapporo to see the hundreds of beautiful snow statues and ice sculptures which line Odori Park, the grounds at Community Dome Tsudome, and the main street in Susukino. For seven days in February, these statues and sculptures(both large and small) turn Sapporo into a winter dreamland of crystal-like ice and white snow.

22:05 Clijsters v Li - post-match Clijsters thanks Tennis Australia for a well-organised tournament. Thanks her uncle for wearing the ugliest green pants, which bring her luck. Thanks her coach Wim, the player she grew up trying to beat, for helping her live her dreams. Thanks her fitness trainer Sam - the person she swears at most. And thanks her husband Brian saying: "he gets a little shy". To wrap things up she says: "Finally I feel like you guys can call me Aussie Kim because I won the title". Another top speech.
21:52 Clijsters v Li - post-match Li has been declared a national hero in China today. A thoroughly well deserved honour. In another fantastic speak, Li tells her husband that although she makes fun of him, "you can be fat or thin, ugly or handsome, I will always follow you and I will always love you".
21:43 Game, set, match & championship Clijsters 3-6 6-3 6-3 Clijsters hits her best forehands of the match tonight to win the opening two points on serve. Then she whips up a magnificent backhand to force a Li backhand error for three championship points. She needs just one, Li steering a backhand wide. Clijsters raises her hands to the sky and bursts into tears. She has her fourth Grand Slam title in the bag.
21:42 Second set - Clijsters 5-3 Li enjoys an easy service game for the first time in a long time. Moves to 40-15, then game as Clijsters scoops a short backhand well long of the baseline.
21:38 Second set - Clijsters 5-2 All those frittered away opportunities and dropped service games of the first set are long forgotten as Clijsters holds serve and moves within a game of taking the Australian Open 2011 women's singles title.

This is the 300th posting in Jan 2011.

This is the 300th posting on this blog in the month of January 2011, which average 10 contributions per day.
We sincerely thank you for the cooperation by those who post their news and comments. Particularly regular contributors, Hiro, Ben, Yutaka, 2 Yoshis, Chizuko, Ozzie, and Charles. They are great supporters. Posting to blog is quite time-consuming. Take photos, transfer them to your PC, open the blog, lock-in, select the photo to be posted, adjust color shade, brightness and size, write the
sentence and occasionally translate it. Even if a work is completed in ten minutes, which is not possible, that translates and contributors have spent more than total 3000 mins, that is,more than 50 hours in January. (10
x300= 3000 mins.). We all appreciate it. Please continue to do that for the KPTC people all over the world.

For the non-contributers:
To communicate each other is vital in understanding each other, It would be appreciated if you could write and put your appreciations, messages to the birthday people, thanks word, and comments on this blog. (Especially Ben will be happy in reading them). We will be more than happy to give you an orientation how to put your words into "comment" column.

AU Open Final: L vs. K

Li was so disillusioned by the system that she dropped out for two years in 2002 to study journalism at university, before rejoining the circuit with her husband, Jiang Shan (a former player), who is now her coach and today is their fifth wedding anniversary. The Golden Flowers began to bloom in 2004 when Zheng reached the fourth round of the French Open, and Li Ting and Sun Tiantian won the Olympic women's doubles gold medal in Athens.

In 2006, Zheng and Yan won the women's doubles title at the Australian Open and Wimbledon.

Zheng got to the Wimbledon semis in 2008 and last year, Li and Zheng both reached the semi-finals of the Australian Open.

(c)AFP

AU Open final. D vs. M

FEW would doubt that had Novak Djokovic trusted the magic in his feet instead of his hands, he would have made a formidable footballer.
Like Andy Murray, the man he may face in tomorrow's final, Djokovic is a dab hand at the round-ball game.

To watch the Serbian against Roger Federer was to witness a man never off balance. His is the perfect axis. A couple of steps back, a mad dash sideways, a skip back to the middle, his balance seemingly always centred come his time to strike the ball.

Before their semi-final clash, former US Open semi-finalist Wally Masur warned that the hardest thing Federer faced was finding a way to hit through Djokovic, so outstanding is the world No 3's court coverage.

It was a point noted by Lleyton Hewitt after the pair played at the Hopman Cup to start January.

It was also something Federer acknowledged as a key reason for his straight-sets loss on Thursday night.

(c)AFP
