The weather at Waikiki in Hawaii, is the best in the world. It is warm and dry throughout the year (70~90F). No hurricanes, no heavy rains, no earthquakes. Money can not buy weather. So here is the best place to play tennis and to realize the successful aging.

Terror in the Park
Many of the players have noticed the 12 cute chicks and mother hen who have hung around the tennis courts lately. However on Sunday according to Scottie (pictured in the second photo), an owner with an unleashed dog quickly changed the easygoing life for the chicks. The dog attacked the chicks. In an effort to protect the chicks, the hen ran around the dog and was chased all the way to the Waikiki Shell area. When the dog returned, he went after the chicks again. Several chicks did not survive the attack before some of the tennis players and homeless were able to stop the onslaught. The chicks were traumatized and in one case, tried to seek protection from a pigeon. In Ed's video, you'll notice that there are now 9 chicks; three apparently did not make it. But, it is good to see that the hen and her chicks are acting normal again and are comfortable around humans. Note: My photos were shot on Saturday, the day before the terror.
