土曜,日曜のホテル・TV 日本語番組に Mason が出ています。番組冒頭で雨の日ハワイの過ごし方というテーマの中 ロイヤルハワイアンSC 4F レジェンド イン コンサート へ行く紹介の中で Mason が出てきます。ショーの前に食事をする場面 ハワイアン・ミュージックが流れるウクレレ・エンターティナーが Mason です。週末のホテル・TV 日本語番組を見てください。

フットボール・イベント

31日のフットボール・オールスターを前にカピオラニ公園周辺フットボール・イベントが盛りだくさん行われています。テニスコート北側の芝生広場で的当て準備を行っています20m,30m,40,50m,60m と的が置かれボールをキックや投げて的に当たると商品がもらえます。

It's great to see our friends, Shimo and his wife, Keiko, back in the islands again. They must be here to do a tooth paste commercial.

Itsue Kimono でコートに

Jake Friend  Itsue が Kimono (Yukata) でコートに来ました。素敵な浴衣姿なのでコート・メンバー Miki , Jake ,  Itsue , Steve , Yuriko , Mason , Hiromi , Bob , Shimo 揃って写真を撮りました。浴衣姿でコートのベンチからゲームを観戦 いつもより和やかな風がコートに漂いました。

Roy & Shigeko came back to Aloha state again this year, they will be staying here 2 more weeks.

Chako & Jiro already returned to their Paoakalani garden condo (Bob who lives in same condo told me) They will be staying here one month.

Pro Bowl Beach

Friday 1-29 , saturday 1-30 10:00 - 22:00 Queen's Beach で Pro Bowl イベントが行われます。金曜日11:00からチアリーダー・パフォーマンスで始まりハワイ大学のバレーボールチームのデモンストレーションなどが行われ7:30PMからコンサート・パーティー等無料のイベントが2日間行われます。

Kiyoko & Mitsuo returned to KPTC again this year from Funabashi Chiba, they will be staying here until Feb 1.

Hornby Island tennis group members together : Betty, Don and Carol.

Tina and Tan are visiting from Phoenix Arizona, they met their friend Jake who lives in Pearl Harbor.

Louise & Irv returned to their Waikiki home again from Saskatoon Canada. They will be staying here one month.

Minako is visiting from Montreal Canada. She will be staying here until the end of March.

Today, Diana played golf with me and my Korean friends at the Royal Kunia GC.

各コートにプレーヤーが沢山来て賑わっています。No3コートもプレーヤーが賑わいゲームが終わり次のメンバーがコートに入りゲームを行おうと Miki がどんな組み合わせで次のゲームを行うのとプレーヤーに声をかけています。

何してるのか?

No3コート脇芝生エリアのテーブル席直ぐ下に二羽のカモがうずくまっていました。Pauline と Miki が何をしているのか見に行きました。しばらく見ていてもジーットしているだけで動こうとしません。寝ているのかなと言いながらベンチに引き揚げました。コート上のゲームが終了し再び見に行くとカモは、飛び立っていなくなりました。

Shono and Friends

コートにやってきた Amy がベンチに座りカメラ・バックから Canon DSLR Camera を取り出しました。カメラを構えて色々な構図を見ながらシャッターを切っていました。カメラに興味のあるプレーヤー達が Amy のカメラを見てカメラ談義が盛り上がっていました。

レッスン

朝6時20分頃 Rosie がジュニアーのレッスンにコートにやってきました。短い距離からボールを出しバック・ボレーを繰り返し行いその後スマッシュ,コートを広く使うストロークなど行いレッスンを受ける男の子コート上を走り回っていました。

Jane & Jim are visiting from Dallas, Texas. They'll be going back home next Wednesday.

Jane & Jim lived in Hawaii Kai from 1972~1977

This morning, Amy brought her friend Cherye (left) to KPTC and played together.

Cherye is visiting from Dallas, TX and will be

staying here 2 more months.

Taka (Takanori Konakaya) returned to KPTC this year again from Fukui. He will be staying here until the end of Feb.

満月

2016年最初の満月 朝6時20分頃テニス・コートに来てビーチ方向に視線をやると大きなオレンジ色の光が見えました。海の上に何があるんだろうとよく見ると満月の光を放つ大きな月でした。しばらく見ていると西方向の海 Yokohama Bay 辺りに6時40分過ぎ大きな月が消えて行きました。明日も楽しみに大きな満月を見たいと思っています。

筋トレ

テニスコート直ぐ近くのフィットレス・エリア鉄棒を使って筋トレに励んでいる人がいました。見ていると自分の体を鉄棒の上まで持ち上げ回転運動や懸垂などを繰り返し行っています。見る限り継続したトレーニングを行っている体をしています。

Joseph & Barbara came back again this year from Kenmore WA and will stay here 6 weeks.

Helen returned to her Honolulu home from Boston and will stay here 6 months.

John & Sonya returned to the Aloha state again this year from Edmonton Alberta Canada and will stay here for one month. Aloha!

Yoriko & Shin came back to KPTC again from Shikoku Island near Kobe; they will stay here until next week Tuesday.

Shimo & Keiko returned again this year from Kobe and will stay at the Royal Kuhio hotel for one month.

Joe is visiting from Tokyo.

仲良く

Bill & Joanne ゲームの切れ目コートを変わるタイミングで写真を撮るよというと二人でポーズを取ってくれました。 Joanne コートをカバーし Bill をサポートしていました。2人で仲良くゲームを楽しんでプレーしていました。

裁縫でセンターベルト補修

No1コート・センターベルト中間接続金具が経年劣化で破損してしまいベルトが切断していました。中間金具で接続されていた部分を釣り糸(ナイロン・テグス)で両端を縫い付けてベルトとしての機能を確保しました。

ベンチに並んで!!

ゲームをいつも楽しく行う Ed & Diana 次の出番をベンチで待っています。2人揃ってコートのやって来てプレーヤー達と談笑し出番が来るとコート上で鋭いショットを打ち分けます。ベンチで楽しみコートで楽しみにこやかな Ed & Diana です。 Ed 捻挫で現在ゲームができません。

Kapiolani Tennis Courts #1 Band Plays the Big Hits

They practiced together for a few minutes and are now ready to tour the world.  ;)   From the left, the band members are Pat from British Columbia, Canada, and Breeda and David from Rockville, Maryland. Yup, they love to have fun!

David: We do love to have fun. Especially here in Hawaii.

Pat: And where else could you have so much fun?

Al: Enjoy the island and everything the island offers eh!

汚れたコート

休日後のテニスコートいつも汚れています。18日朝6時15分頃コートに着くとNo2コートにお菓子が散らばっていました。No1コートにガムが点々とこびり付いていました。どのコートもジュース,水などのペットボトル,空き缶,お菓子の袋,テニス・ボールのケース等等散らばっていました。日中公園に遊びに来てテニス・コートで子供を遊ばした残骸が残っているんですね。ごみの処理を行いました。

Hiro and his wife Cecile returned to the Aloha state again this year from Toronto; they will stay at Waikiki Banyan condo for 2 and half months.

Two close tennis couples: Jodie & Stefan of Billings Montana and Audrey & Manny of Vancouver.

Jodie & Stefan will leave for their home tomorrow.
