The weather at Waikiki in Hawaii, is the best in the world. It is warm and dry throughout the year (70~90F). No hurricanes, no heavy rains, no earthquakes. Money can not buy weather. So here is the best place to play tennis and to realize the successful aging.

We Need Good Friends Like Yuriko
After a tough set, it's nice when one of your tennis friends gives you a shoulder rub. Nice job, Yuriko! Hiromi is probably thinking, "Curt, if you take a picture, I'm going to hit you on the head with my tennis racquet." And on the right, Miki is bouncing the ball and waiting patiently for the next match to start. Note: Curt just increased his life and medical insurance coverage before he posted this photo.

Hi Sung!
Sung loves to smash the tennis ball...especially against Brent in their weekly singles matches. In addition to his skills on the tennis courts, he's an accomplished math teacher who has taken his Washington Intermediate public school math teams to five consecutive State championships. Nice job, Sung!

Out of the Hospital and Back to Fixing Up the Tennis Courts!
Due to health issues, our good Samaritan, Keith, recently got out of a 4-day hospital stay. And, here he is today working on one of the tennis court nets...in his wheel chair. He is 92 years old. Wow. What dedication and selflessness. He plans to talk to City officials to see if they can replace our current nets with new ones. Thank you Keith for what you do for all of us! In the second photo, Keith stops by to chat with Pauline and Shirley. Photos by Yuriko. And many thanks to Pauline, Hiromi, and Yuriko in assisting me with this post.
Al: Keith was the person to meet me at the courts when I first came to play in June 2003. Hang in there Keith.....hope to see you soon.
