ゲートボールを楽しむ

バンドスタンドとアスレチックコーナーの間でフラッグを立て何人かの人たちが動いていました。何をしているのかと見ているとスティックを持ってボールを打っていましたのでゲートボールを楽しんでいるのだと判りました。手入れされた芝生といい間隔で配置された木々がゲートボール・フィールドをうまく作り皆さん楽しんでボールをヒットしフラッグ・ゲートへボールを進め和気あいあいと楽しんでいました。

      Bob Greb I don't play much either. Bridgette is playing usta and i 've been hitting balls to them once in a while. Mliss the tennis but its hard on my back. Taken up bowling again a couple of years ago and still going to the gym. Whats up with you? Would love to have you guys visit any time. 月の光が

カピオラニ公園バス停方向からバンドスタンドを通りクイーンカピオラニ銅像を過ぎたところ海の方向木々の間から明るい光が見えてきました。何の光なんだろうと思いながらジーット見つめるとお月さんの光が真っすぐ届いてきていました。ヨォ～ク見ると海面にも月の光が光その反射も公園方向に届いていました。早起きしたおかげでこんないい景色が見ることが出来ました。

素敵な虹

チョッピリ涼しい風を感じいつものように虹が出るだろうとビーチの方向を見ているとクッキリ大きな虹が現れました。ダブルになればいいのになぁ～と思っているとその思いが届いたかのようにダブルレインボーになりました。クッキリした大きなダブルレインボーがしばらく素敵な景色を見せてくれました。

誰が来るかな?

朝6時15分頃テニスコートに着き空いているNo3コートに入りました。まだプレーヤーが揃わないのでストレッチをしながら誰が来るのか想像しながらユックリ体を伸ばし準備をしながら待ちます。こうやって朝早くの時間コートでウキウキしながら待っているのも楽しいものです。

テニスコートへ

ワイキキ方面からウォーミングアップを兼ね歩いてここまで来ると｢さぁ～テニスをやるぞ!!｣という気持ちになります。4面のコートを眺めどのコートに行こうかと左右を見ながら進んで行きます。ラリーが続くボールの音を聞きながらいい天候でテニスが出来ることに感謝しコートの扉を開けます。

もうチョット待てば!!

テニスコートにやって来たプレーヤー急な激しい雨で車を停めただけで外に出れない状態です。激しい雨粒ですがしばらくすると雨が止むだろうと思いジーット駐車スペースに留まっています。ダイヤモンド・ヘッド東側に青空が見えれば少しすれば雨が止むのを知っているから待っているのでしょう。予想通り15分位で雨が行き過ぎプレーが出来るようになりました。

ダブル・レインボー

マノア方面に雲が厚くかかっているのでこの雲が移動すると虹が出てくるだろうと思っているとワイキキ方向きれいな青空に虹がクッキリと現われ始めました。空がきれいに澄んでいるのでダブル・レインボーになるだろうとジーット見ていると期待通りダブル・レインボーが現れました。こんなにきれいな虹が見えるなんていい日ですね。

にらめっこ

カピオラニ公園バンドスタンド前の池で黒い水鳥がジーット佇んでいるのでどうしたのかなと近づいてみると池の中のトンボが気になっているようでトンボに視線を集中していました。黒い水鳥は、微動だもせずジーットにらみ合い状態を続け周りを人が動いても気にしないで睨んでいました。トンボが動かないのが気になって仕方なかったんでしょう。

テニスコートからの帰りに動物園脇の駐車場に赤い車が止まっており何かを宣伝しているようなので近寄ってみました。この赤いバス Leonard's のデモンストレーション・バスでした。このバスの中で”マラサダ”を作っており出来たての”マラサダ”を配っていました。いい所に遭遇したので早速”マラサダ”をもらい熱々をおいしくいただきました。
