Yesterday I received a threatening letter from Virginia about 2 parking tickets from 2005. The first notice that was ever sent about them - according to even the form itself - was 7 days ago. Perhaps they were lost for 7 years. No way to dispute, any records of payment are long gone and I have not owned the car in 5 years. After sending the bill for $100 out for the first time just one week ago by their own admission, they sent a second threatening letter just one week later. This is what state and local governments are now reduced to: fraud. But California is the champion.
