Diana lives in Sacramento except during her stay in Hawaii. She stays in her condominium in the Waikiki area.

Authorities say the woman in her late 60's died at Tripler Army Medical Center June 19. It's unclear how she caught the virus but state epidemiologist Dr. Sarah Park said it was too much for the already sick woman.

"The patient was already in quite a precarious state," Dr. Park told reporters, "and it was one thing or another that could have contributed and this did not help that person."

It is the first death tied to H1N1 in Hawaii out of a total of 545 confirmed cases.

Another Oahu resident was hospitalized over the weekend after the infection led to pneumonia. This comes as the state is investigating several other swine flu cases within the Molokai Fire Department. The Health Department initially reported an outbreak there, that 20 members had come down with the illness. The Health Department said it got that information from the Maui District Health Office. But, that number is being disputed.

Boatでクルージング(KP番外）

通勤渋滞対策でオアフ島西側KalaeloaからAlohaTower迄BOATが運行されています。アロハタワーを15時55分発のボートに乗りワイキキ,パールハーバー,エワビーチ,コーリナの景色と偶然現れたイルカ10頭程の移動を見ながら1時間の船旅を終えKalaeloa到着し下船後ゲートで10分位待ち17時10分のアロハタワー行きに乗り帰りの1時間を楽しみました。ゆっくり歩いてマリタイムセンター前のバス停に行くとしばらくするとNoEバスが来てワイキキまでスムースに帰りました。私達は、バスの定期を持っているので見せるだけで乗船できました。料金は、2$です。娘が80$払って1時間のドルフィンクルーズに2回行き2回ともイルカを見ることができなかったのでこのボートクルージングでイルカを見ようと言っていました。

last lesson

I had last tennis lesson @ school yesterday I did good:) I don't regret my lesson at all. I'm ready to play @ Kapiolani.
I'll be there in five days. It's really rainy season here so I'm so happy to escape from this weather.

駐車料金の回収

毎朝9時頃からカピオラニ公園コイン駐車場料金回収が二人一組の警官により行われています。前にいる一人がキーで料金箱を外しコイン回収キャリーに移し替えます。その間に後ろの警官が空の料金箱をセットします。前の警官は、料金を回収した空の料金箱を後ろの警官に渡し次のコインメーターボックスから料金箱を外し同じように回収して行きます。非常に手際よく料金回収がスピーディーに毎日行われています。手際の良さにしばらく見入ることがあります。
Every morning about 9:00am a pair police officer withdraw coins from parking meter and one of them moved box and other guy set up empty box. They're working skillfully together so I gaze fixedly at them sometimes.

　成田に着くと、早速雨の歓迎で、蒸し暑く、ハワイのお天気が懐かしく羨ましいです。帰ってから、雑用で忙しく、返事遅くなりました。

　ｓａｂｕも皆から、良く焼けていると言われてます。ｍａｓａｋｏ　も今日早速テニスのレッスンで、又大雨ですが、屋内なので、行くつもりです。

エクササイズ・レッスン

朝6時頃エクササイズ・レッスンがNo1コートを使って行われていました。テニスコートのラインを使ってダッシュ,スキップ,片足飛び,ジグザグ走,ベンチを使った昇降運動とジャンプ等々色々な動作で体幹を動かし鍛え伸ばす運動を繰り返し行っています。右端ピンクパンツの女性がトレーナーで的確に次々と指示を与えその指示に従って参加者が動いています。トレーナーは、曜日によって男性,女性と変わりますが参加者は、なぜか女性ばかりですね。日本でもエクササイズに熱心なのは、女性ですがこれは、世界的傾向なのでしょうか?男性も美しいプロポーションに成りたいと思っているはずですが--そう思いテニスに励んでいます。

アフリカンダンス・レッスン

12時前カピオラニ公園を散歩しているとNo2コートを過ぎたところで激しくアフリカンビートの音楽が聞こえその音楽に合わせアフリカンダンス・レッスンをしているグループに出会いました。右端白いタンクトップの女性がトレーナーで一通り踊って見せ次に全員でトレーナーの動きに合わせ振りをついて行けるよう熱心に体を動かしていました。音楽も踊りを鼓舞するようにどんどんスピードアップし音楽と踊りが一体になるパフォーマンスに見入りました。途中動きが揃わないようになるとトレーナーがストップをかけ何度も初めから繰り返しいい汗が飛び散っていました。エネルギッシュにのめり込んでパフォーマンスができることは、素晴らしいですね。
Before noon I found this group in Kapiolani park next to #2 court they're dancing with African music. The trainer who is wearing white tank top she danced first then they follow her. I was fascinated with their performance a while. That's great to having this like energetic.

悩んでいるように見えませんか?

大きな木々が立ち並ぶカピオラニ公園 帰り道ある木に近づいて行くと木のコブが人の表情のように見え何か考え込んでいる風に見えました。この木もここに長い時間多分80年は、越えている時間佇み色々なことを見てきたのでその色々なことに思いめぐらせて考え込んでいるのかなと思いしばらく正対しました。そして「悩んでもなるようにしかならないよ!!」と声をかけてやり木が「こっくりとうなづいた」ようなので左肩を叩いて「また明日」と言って通り過ぎました。
There're many big trees in Kapiolani park and I found funny tree one day it looks like somebody brooding over something I think this tree has being here for over 80years or so then have worries but I said "Let's play it by ear" and the tree got it so I tap his shoulder "see you tomorrow"

太陽が出てくるぞ!!

後5分もすればダイヤモンドヘッドのマノア方向から太陽が顔を出す寸前を写真に撮りました。太陽が出てくるとカピオラニ公園の芝生の緑が鮮やかにキラキラ輝いてきます。小鳥達も元気に飛び回りたっぷり光を浴びて大きな木々の間で羽を休めては、飛び回ることを繰り返しています。テニスコートにも日差しを浴び太陽を利用したロブを使うプレーヤーも出てきて色々な戦略的なショットが多様に打ち合われます。気持ちのよい日差しを浴びて気持ちよくショットが決まるいい気持ちですね。
It's five minutes left to sunrise behind Diamondhead from Manoa side I took this before sun is coming. After sun came out turf gonna be shining brightly in Kapiolani park and birds are flying well. Many tennis players are playing well also it's nice day and nice play and nice feeling.

ニューラケット

6年以上使っているラケットを交換しようと思って今回気に入るラケットを探していました。スポーツオーソリティ,ワイパフラケット,マッカリバイシクルと一通り回り値段とサイズが気に入ったものが見付からなかったのですが日曜日新聞に入ったスポーツオーソリティのバーゲン情報に気に入ったラケットが載っており早速確認に行きサイズが合ったので2本づつ買いました。Prince O3早速月曜日からコートで使用してニューラケットの感触と打球感を楽しんでいます。
I've been using same racket so I wanna get a new one and I checked Sports authority, Waipahu racket, McCully bicycle but I chouldn't find right one then I saw good one on a handbill Sunday
newspaper and I went to Sports authority again I bought each two. One of them Prince O3 I use that from Monday I like it.

Yutaka-san went back to Japan

Before he went to Hunolulu Air port, he post to the blog. Maybe after he arrived at Japan, he post, too. No interval for posting, no matter what. Consistency. That is one of Japanese cultures. Constant. Persistent

天空に届きそうなモミの木

テニスコート間に2本あるモミの木の内No1,No3コート間にあるモミの木です。見上げると大きく真っ青な空に向ってドンドン伸びて行くように見えます。ここでこの木を見るたびに大きくなってそのうち千の風に乗るような世界まで届くのではないかと思って見上げています。こんな風に皆さん感じないでしょうか。
This is a fir tree between court#1 and #3. It's growing fast toward blue sky and I guess reach to the world don't you think so?

カピオラニのテニスコートではテニスのお相手をして頂いて、大変楽しい一時を過ご
すことが出来、ありがとうございました。
ハワイでの貴重な思い出が出来て嬉しく思っています。
あの後、私と未有貴の二人で、もう一度同じ場所で
テニスをしましたが、夜8時頃だったので混んでいて、
待っている人もいるので、下手な私達は落ち着いて
プレーする事が出来ず、あまり楽しめませんでした。
次回から、もっと空いている夕方に行った方が良いと
思いました。

善弘は、鉄の景気は厳しいと申していましたが、
仕事は忙しくて現在も中国出張中です。

ブログに我々一家の写真を掲載して下さり、

カピオラニ公園KIDが一杯

カピオラニ公園は、安全に遊ぶ場所が沢山あるので9時前頃から黄色のスクールバスが沢山集まって来てKIDを沢山下ろして行きます。子供達は、全員同じ色のTシャツを着て名前カードをぶら下げています。家で作ってもらった昼食の入ったリックサックを背負い元気に散らばってゆきます。No2テニスコート奥に来た子供達は、サッカーで遊ぶようなのでサッカーボールをキックしながら公園の中に進んでゆきました。こんな自然一杯のところで元気に走り回ればインフルエンザなんか怖くないですね。

カピオラニ公園東側の噴水

この噴水は、ホノルルマラソンの時後800m(0.5マイル)のポイントです。マラソンでカピオラニ公園に入ってきて後1Kmポイントで給水し進んで行くとこの噴水が見えてきます。｢スマイル,フィニシュライン・ハーフマイル｣と声がかかり写真を撮ってくれるので思いっきりいい顔をしましょう(後日メールで写真購入の勧誘が来ます)噴水を過ぎると応援の人達が声をかけてくれるのでゴールラインを目指し素敵なパフォーマンスでゴールラインを越えましょう。1年係ってマラソンのスタートラインに立ち公園の噴水を見てゴールを踏むその事をイメージしながら09年12月のマラソンへ後6ヶ月積み重ねれば噴水で良いスマイルが出来ること間違いなしです。
This fountain is o.5mile left to goal in Honolulu marathon and when we found this photographer says "smile! half mile to finish line" and we need to make a best smile face. After passed a funtain many people cheering so we should do great performance into goal. We'd better try image training about great goal and see a fountain also it' sguarantee your great smile @ goal this year.

Chemical into pond

I was surprised to see it. They put chemical into pond. That's why no fish in this pound. Furthermore smells swimming pool.

カピオラニでフィールドアーチェリー

週末にダイヤモンドヘッド・テニスコートの方へ散歩に行くと沢山の人が集まっているので何をしているのかと近寄るとフィールドアーチェリーを楽しむ人達でした。距離設定が60ｍから10mおきに140ｍ迄マークされそれぞれの場所を移動しながら矢を撃っていました。皆さんよい道具とスコープで的をしっかり確かめてゆったり撃っているのでほとんど中心部分に矢が当たっていたのでびっくりしました。フィールドアーチェリーの弓は、非常に重いので相当な力がないと数時間楽しみことが出来ません。カピオラニは、色々なところで幅広いスポーツが楽しまれているのだと再認識しました。
